Hello guys! So today we have a new, strange collection to take a look at. Crypto Carnies is primarily an art/PFP project with some utility baked in. The artwork in this case is coming from an experienced artist, that graduated from art school and currently works as an art director in film.
The collection consists of 10,000 NFTs, with 4 distinct species and 362 hand-drawn traits, ensuring each NFT is highly unique.
In short, great artwork from a truly artistic individual. Not just another cash-grabby PFP project.
Who is behind the project?
Behind the project, we have the highly talented artist Gillian Zillion and smart contract developer PsychoTV13.
The collection has some history. Gillian has been creating 1/1s from the same Carnie universe over the last couple of years. You can see their prior work below.
Crypto Carnies: Welcome to the Carnival
Crypto Carnies: Volume 2: Who spilled the ooze?
Crypto Carnies: Volume 3: Escape through the Sewer
As you can see, Gillian is doxxed. Developer PsychoTV13 is not.
The NFTs come in 4 distinct species which we will discuss below:
These guys are the employees of the carnival that spent a little too much time in the toxic ooze!
In a previous life, these little guys used to be the plush toys. The toxic ooze has now brought them to life!
Originally from the sewers. Years of eating sewer sludge and regular bong tokes have kept their breaths smelling extra shitty.
These guys are usually missing half their brains and originate from a strange research facility.
Crazy artwork, with 4 different species. When combined with the 362 hand-drawn traits the combinations created can be pretty wild. Personally, I think the Lab Experiments are the better-looking species!
The roadmap does not have set-in-stone dates but provides a rough guideline of what holders can expect from the future of the project.
Shortly after the mint, the team plans to release an online store for Carnie’s merch with some exciting limited edition drops.
Holders will have a colouring book airdropped. These colouring books can contain additional surprises if you are lucky.
The team are experimenting with 3D Printing and hopes to bring printable 3D toys to Carnie holders.
Eventually, each Carnie holder will be able to claim a companion to keep them from loneliness. The companions will be a continuation of the Carnie universe and will have their own traits.
Each holder’s Carnie will serve as a ticket to watch Carnie TV. The details on Carnie TV are to be announced.
In continuation of the Television, the team will be creating an animated episode for Carnie TV.
In addition to the above milestones, the team has acquired an Otherside Deed in order to build out Carnie Town in the future. The team also hopes to bring content to Decentraland and The Sandbox.
The smart contract is optimised and has no known or previous malicious activity to known bad wallets or projects.
There are three different mint dates depending on which perquisites you can satisfy.
Carnie OG: September 20th.
Contest WL: Septermber 27th.
Public Mint: October 1st.
One Crypto Carnie will cost 0.03 ETH.
I personally love the art style of this project, and it looks like there has been some promising history. The Carnies have been around for a while. The artwork is great, and it’s all available at the cheap price of 0.03 ETH per token. Can’t hurt too much to pick up one and see what happens – the future utility could be rewarding.
The negatives of the project are the small social following. The Twitter engagement is not good and the Discord is very small. Although the team are a way off and has a while to promote and market the project to a wider audience – which hopefully should be a breeze.
All in all, I’m a fan of the art and I am looking forward to seeing what happens with the project.
As always, please do your own research. This report does not constitute financial advice.
Hello guys! So today we have a bit of a strange one. Strange isn’t something you should necessarily be wary of in the NFT world anyway. I do have to say, I really like the art.
