Hey there guys! Today we have a different one to take a look at. It’s a free mint and a bit of a degen project. So I will preface this review by saying firstly – if you intend to mint, please use a burner wallet.
The project is a small collection of 3,333 tongue-in-cheek Ethereum-based NFTs that are mocking the current state of the market.
Let’s dive in a little deeper!
In typical free degen mint fashion, the founders are totally undoxxed. We do not know who is behind the team at all. We do not have any social profiles to view at all.
We have no social profile of any member.
Notice anything strange about these names? You should because they are all totally fake, and they actually come from or are inspired by the prank names Bart gives Moe when he calls Moe’s Tavern in The Simpsons.
You can see a list and some of the names and their context here. Hugh Jego appears to be the only name not on the list, but instead inspired by Hugh Jass.
The collection is a whole load of tongue-in-cheek NFTs mocking the state of the current bear market. The artwork features cartoon tombstones inscribed with negative sentiment and a few other cool traits, in some cases even depicting characters from other popular NFT collections dead in the ground beneath the tombstones.
Im a fan of the aesthetics of this collection. It seems to have been inspired from other jokey degen collections we’ve seen in recent months. The project really gives me Apilesofrubbish & ill poop it nft vibes. I’m a fan of the art style and we’ve seen degenerate collections like this do well in this market.
The team made a cool promotional video last week, check it out below.
Check out some samples generated by the team –
The teams Road Map is very brief and in equal taste, just as humorous as the collection itself.
Socials are limited. No Discord, but this may change. Twitter only for now.
Smart Contract is not yet available.
It’s a FREE MINT. No purchase necessary, only gas is required.
The project will mint on August 16th 2022 and plans to reveal on the same day. You can still pick up Allow List spots from their Twitter by interacting and engaging with their tweets.
This is an interesting project. Like all free mints, they tend to pique peoples interest. I’m sure we all know about the success of a lot of recent free mints. So when you see a free mint that’s in the current trend and is ticking the boxes, you know it’s one to keep an eye out on. The project references many popular NFT collections and some of the combinations can be funny. I like this collection.
Now, the negative is that this is from a totally undoxxed team. We have no idea who is behind this or what their intentions are. There is no accountability at all. We don’t know if the minting site will be a scam, or if the contract will be malicious. For these reasons, it is of paramount security that a burner wallet is used to mint this project.
Overall, a good project. I would wait until mint day and see how the momentum builds. They may mint out pretty fast and secondary markets may have to be an option.
As always, please do your own research. This report does not constitute financial advice.
